Round 7 Results
Posted on May 5th, 2012 1 commentIt was Shellharbour v Russell Vale day at Cawley Park today, and while there was plenty of action, a few touches of controversy and some good goals, the overall standard of football was not very high.
United started their match against City as if they hadn’t quite got out of bed yet. There was little rhythm or understanding between the players, a situation exacerbated by a difficult wind and a bobbly pitch. The last two factors affect both teams, of course, and Shellharbour dealt with them better, resulting in a goal to the visitors after less than 10 minutes.
It wasn’t too long before City doubled their advantage and it looked like being a long day in the field for Vale. Patches of our usual calm passing game started to re-appear, however, and while United went to the sheds trailing by two goals, the general feeling was that the game was still there for the taking.

Postponed Games Round 5 21 April 2012
Posted on April 21st, 2012 No commentsGuys
Due to the paddock being soaked through, we cant play today. Water still sitting in goal mouths.
I did canvass the possibility of a game Anzac Day early for the teams, but cannot get a committment from opposition in time to arrange. Therefore, Ill arrange 2 x Wed night games in a row 730pm kickoffs prob starting 2 or 9 May.

Round 4 results
Posted on April 14th, 2012 1 commentUTD – 2-1 win over Helensburgh, scrapy first half, down by 1 at half time. A much improved 2nd half produced 2 goals, Snowy can claim a soft touch and error by the Burgh, Hollers headed a great cross from a corner by Craig. Numerous other efforts missed, in the last 20 min.
FC – 4-1 V’s Coledale, goals by Chris, Mike and Hamish, and a own goal to throw into the mix. Great control and ball work in the second half, the score could have been 2 or 3 more.
Well done both teams.
Jim
